Good morning On Europeans! It’s a muggy morning in Baku,
Baku. We’re nowhere near the press centre I’m afraid, so coverage “this” end
will be a little late getting off the ground. We’re somewhat incapacitated by
being almost at the other end of a very busy town to the Crystal Hall and
transport round here is proving interesting to say the least. Taxis are
plentiful but knowledge of the city seemingly is not. Last night’s effort’s to
have dinner before the opening party were thwarted by a drive of around an hour
to Fountain Square, one of the main central attractions, only to be dropped at
an entirely different square that just happened to have a fountain...
We’ll see you when we get there...
