I've been looking forward to this one. I really like the
song, and a couple of the musicians in particular, but it has the potential to be
either too busy or just down-right naff in live performance. Indeed in
Amsterdam it was a bit all over the pace, if undeniably fun. So what do we have
here? Well, they have clearly been rehearsing this to within an inch of its
life and it shows! It’s well choreographed and well coordinated and most of all
it looks FUN! The backdrop opens to silhouetted drumming and changes to hearts
and colours. The real drummer (one of my two) is sans drum at this stage but
this is looking very slick and for me the best performance of the opening day
so far. Hurrah!
